Benji
Benji
is a foal we took on from market at the end of last year. He a large
foal and should make a good height. He is very chilled! He plods along
without a care in the world and loves a good scratch, he is very
friendly. He has had problems with his back legs in that they click a
bit whilst he walks, this should be something he grows out of as he gets
older and bigger but would be something to bear in mind if taking him on
as a future riding pony. He is a very cute pony and won lots of hearts
at the centre! He is happy
to groomed and have his feet picked out and leads very well, the problem
you will have is once you give him attention he will not then leave you
alone!
As
he is still a young foal we will insist he is re-homed to a place where
he can live out with an older pony, and preferably go as a pair with
another one of our foals.
We
are the be Dartmoor Pony Training Centre we take on ponies
from market that are unsold and re-home them in to permanent loan homes
as well as promote the breed. Dartmoor Hill ponies are wonderful sweet natured ponies and
make excellent riding and driving ponies as well as companions and even
therapy ponies which they are well suited to due to their calm nature.
We insist our ponies go to homes where they have company and
ideally we want them to be able to live out.
We ask for a small donation if you take on a pony to help towards
the running costs of the centre.
Please
do look at our website for details of our centre and links to blogs
about how we are getting on and all the ponies we currently have
available for loan.
