Ahead of the new season British Eventing is hosting a series of free Fence Judge training days for those who would like to join the loyal group of BE volunteers and Fence Judge confidently this year.
Thanks to the British Eventing Charitable Foundation, throughout January and February BE Officials will be covering a range of topics including the theory of fence judging, what to do in various scenarios, new rules for 2018 and the practicalities of fence judging on the cross country course.
The workshops are aimed at new Fence Judges but would be will be hugely beneficial for both seasoned Fence Judges, who may want to bring a new volunteer with them, and those who have never done it before. Along with each attendee taking home a handy volunteer booklet, it also provides a great way to meet people who share a love of volunteering and eventing; the days are open to anyone and lunch is provided and training is completely free of charge.
