Frickley Park in South Yorkshire is just three weeks away from hosting one of British Eventing’s key youth Championship events; the 2017 National Saddle Centre BE100u18 Regional Team Championship and Novice under 18 Regional Team Championship (held at CCIJ1*), and we are pleased to announce the combinations selected to represent each of the eight regions.

Held from the 27th – 30th July, the Under 18 Regional Team Championship welcomes ten riders from each of the regions; North, Scotland, South East, South West, East Midlands, South Wales & Central, North Wales & West Midlands and East, all of whom who have qualified for their respective Championship level over the past 12 months.

The National Saddle Centre, now in their fourth year of sponsorship of the BE100u18 Championships, generously support the next generation of BE riders and kindly present a National Saddle Centre rug for the BE100u18 team and individual champions.

Jo Beavis, Director of the National Saddle Centre, commented; "I am delighted to be supporting these up and coming young riders at the Championship for another year, and enjoying a fantastic weekend of competition at Frickley Park – we wish all the competitors the very best of luck.”

In both the CCIJ1* and BE100 Championship the top four scores out of the ten riders will go forward to make up the team score and decide the 2017 Regional Team Champions. Riders compete for some fantastic prizes including a trophy, prize money, BE training vouchers and a leather headcollar, for each team rider, and snaffle bridle for the individual winners, thanks to the Worshipful Company of Saddlers.

The teams of ten for each level in each region are managed by the hard working regional Under 18 Coordinators and Under 18 Assistant Coordinators, all of whom are voluntary and tirelessly oversee the annual under 18 programme in their region. The teams are also supported at the Championships by two skilled Under 18 Coaches, all of whom are BE accredited and provide training and development for under 18 riders throughout the year.
