Pony Club invites applications from venues and management companies to host future Championships

The Pony Club invites Tenders from suitable venues to hold its prestigious Pony Club Championships

As part of a formal review, The Pony Club is looking for applications from venues and event management companies interested in holding and managing future Championships from 2018 and beyond.

The Pony Club Championships is a real festival of youth, featuring three main sports, Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing, each at Novice, Intermediate, Open and Elite level. Also included are two days of Polocrosse, three days of Mounted Games, as well as competitions in Dressage to Music, Musical Ride, Centre Equitation and Horse & Pony Care. The current competition covers five days of sport in total and is attended by approximately 2000 competitors, their families and spectators.

The event is currently held at the beautiful venue of Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire in conjunction with Musketeer Event Management - and both have been asked to submit a tender application during this formal review process.

A centrally located venue would be advantageous - but others will be considered – with well drained ground and flat riding surfaces suitable for all weathers, and a cross country course with undulating land and natural fences.

In addition to the competition space there are also requirements for space to provide in excess of 500 permanent or temporary stabling, penning for up to 200 horse/ponies, a show centre to accommodate trade stands, a secretary’s office and areas for overnight camping and day parking.

For those interested in tendering for The Pony Club Championships please email events@pcuk.org or call 02476 698315 and request a tender information pack. Expression of interest should be submitted no later than 17th July 2017.
