Shane Rose wins three star class at the Canberra International Horse trials

Shane Rose won the three star class at the Canberra International Horse trials on Sunday.

After three days of competition Rose finished ahead of Deon Stokes who relinquished his day two lead with after losing points on the cross country course.

Rose immediately jumped on a flight back to Holland where he will represent Australia at the Nations Cup next week.

"True to form Shane was the fastest around the course and got off his horse and flew out... his dedication to Australian horse sport and the Olympic Games is phenomenal," event organiser Fiona Gruen said.

Theo Horsley won the two-star event ahead of of Richard Knight and Canberran Amelia Fitzgerald, with the trio all riding recycled racehorses.

Olympian Stuart Tinney won the one-star as ACT teenager Victoria Doak finished fourth and won the junior one-star.
