Racesafe British Juniors in Silver position after Cross Country Phase at FEI European Championships

At the end of the cross country phase of the 2017 FEI European Championships in Millstreet, Ireland, Great Britain put in many strong performances over a very testing course.

The Racesafe British Junior squad had another great day in the office overall with the team’s anchor Bubby Upton (pictured) retaining her overnight lead with a clear cross country round inside the time partnered by Rachel Upton’s Eros DHI.

Bubby’s team mates also put in strong rounds: Phoebe Locke finished the phase in fifth place, Richard Coney in seventh and Imogen White in fourteenth. Individuals Holly Needham and Sasha Hargreaves go into the final phase of the competition in 21st and 31st place respectively.

In the current team standings, the GB Racesafe Juniors go into the show jumping phase in silver position on a total score of 102.7 after Germany who hold pole position with 95.2. France lie in bronze in the team results with 136.0. The host nation Ireland are now in fourth place on a total score of 140.8.
