Stage set for glittering gala

With the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships just around the corner, British Dressage is pleased to announce the line up for our two glittering Gala evenings!

Hosting the popular Master Class this year is none other than team supremo Michael Eilberg. Hailing from one of Britain’s finest dressage dynasties, Michael is no stranger to success on the big stage. At the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, Michael was instrumental in helping Great Britain achieve a team Silver medal whilst with his beautiful partner Half Moon Delphi he also rode to a top ten finish in the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music event. Not only excelling at the top level, Michael is one of a handful of riders to have won back to back titles at the World Breeding Championships having presented the wonderful Woodlander Farouche to perfection in the Six year old category back in 2012 as well as the Five year old category in 2011.

Michael, a previous winner of the Superflex Inter I Freestyle, will without doubt deliver a masterclass that is both educative and enjoyable, alongside presenting a selection of his up and coming stars.

Returning to the NAF Five Star Winter Championships main arena to wow the crowds once again is the English Vaulting Squad. Based in the Midlands, the EVS was formed in 2000 by a group of talented vaulters and parents who wanted to break onto the International stage.

Since their formation multiple members of the group have gone on to represent Great Britain in International CVI competitions, European Championships, World Championships and World Equestrian Games. Lead by the brilliant Julie Newell, the EVS proudly supports vaulters of all standards from toddlers through to adults. Their performance on the Friday and Saturday evenings will surely thrill and inspire all.

New to the Championships this year is the Hickstead Young Professionals Quadrille. Created by Dane Rawlins and co-director Steph Bradley, the musical ride made up of 10 horse and rider combinations will dazzle the audience under the lights of Hartpury. The group first performed their show-stopping routine at Hickstead CDI last summer and since then the squad has gone from strength to strength attending shows from Bolesworth to the LeMieux National Dressage Championships at Stoneleigh. Witness their skill and precision first hand in the intervals between the Magic Prix St Georges Freestyle and Superflex Inter I Freestyle competitions.
