BE Home Coaches Day Details Announced

Having the right team around an athlete is essential to create the environment in which they can perform, and this year the BE Home Coaches Day focuses on coaching at a Championship. The aim of the day is to provide the audience with an insight into how the coach, and support team, can work effectively together to create the best possible environment for the horse and rider, in order to deliver a winning performance.

Taking place at Unicorn Trust Equestrian Centre, Stow-on-the-Wold, Glos, on Tuesday 15th January 2019, this training day has been specifically organised to benefit BE Accredited Coaches, but is also open to Non-Accredited coaches, British Horse Society and Pony Club coaches. It is CPD for BE Accredited, BHS and Pony Club coaches.

Guest Speakers include the World Class Performance team of Manager Richard Waygood, and Coach Christopher Bartle who in their two years in post have helped Great Britain deliver a European team gold medal and most recently team and individual gold at the FEI World Equestrian Games. They will be joined by renowned BE Master Coach and Fellow of the British Horse Society, Caroline Moore, who not only co-owns the 2018 World Champion Allstar B with rider Ros Canter, but is also the long-time home coach of the combination. Ian Woodhead completes the quartet of coaches, a popular and respected coach, Ian moved from coaching in pure dressage to focus more on training event riders in 2004. Alongside coaching several top British riders, Ian's most recent success came in his role as part of the coaching team for Ireland’s World Equestrian Games silver medal winning team.
